About
Are you sure you really want to know more? We are a busy family of 7 and there is rarely a quiet moment in the house. Paul & I met a 11 years ago when he was hit by a drunk driver and he’ll tell you that I was the passenger of the drunk driver. Of course that’s not true, I only worked at the chiropractic office he came to afterward. I actually had to ask Paul out – seemed as if he was never going to make that move. A year after our first date we were married! I was a single mom to 2 little girls and Paul immedately took on the role of “dad”. A year after we were married we had our first son Ethan. Ethan is a dinosaur fanatic (you’ll want to check out his blog) and I am convinced will someday be a renowned paleontologist. Andrew came along 2 1/2 years later and was what I claim to be the “Worlds Best Baby”. He is easy going and full of energy. Paul and I are sure Andrew will be the “jock” of the family with his coordination and energy. Three years after Andrew – came Evelyn. She is named after my grandmother and every bit as spunky! Evelyn has given us a new lookout on parenting – it’s been the survival of the fittest….of course she is number 5 so she knows that she can get away with almost anything. Allison and Emily are the 2 oldest and we couldn’t ask for better girls. Ally is in her senior year of high school and very involved with church. I can hardly believe that my baby will be heading off to college in less than year. Emily is our peace keeper in the family. She is the one that is always trying to make things work between the other siblings and does a great job of it.
Since Paul and I have been married we have lived in 4 different states. We would like to believe that Iowa City is our home, but we have trust in God that he will lead us in the right direction. It’s not easy raising 5 children but we love every minute of it. It’s definitely not boring. Hope you enjoy the stories of the Aus’
I’ve never blogged before! This is new for me. I don’t think I would enjoy doing this on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis. So, don’t look for my blog anytime soon. I picked up info on yours from the Christmas letter and thought I would visit.
We sure did have a nice time on New Year’s Day with all of you. So glad we were able to make it. We’re looking forward to your visit for Paleofest.
